• Airy brushed Aran or light bulky yarn, such as an alpaca-merino or brushed wool blend, in one main color and one contrast color
• Or hold DK wool together with lace-weight mohair or brushed alpaca
• 7 mm (US 10.75) circular needle, 32 to 40 in long
• 5.5 mm (US 9) circular needle for ribbing
• 16 in circular, DPNs, or a long circular for magic loop, in both sizes
• One extra 7 mm (US 10.75) needle for the three-needle bind-off
• Stitch marker, waste yarn or spare needles, and a tapestry needle
